POCATELLO, ID (May 1, 2016) – The “Blue Star” members of Pirate4x4.com, the “largest off-roading website in the world,” have continued to generate support over the years, with the most recent support from the program generating $2,940 in revenue to help support ongoing efforts by Sharetrails.Org/BlueRibbon Coalition (BRC) to preserve recreation access across the nation. Total-to-date, the Blue Star program has generated a whopping $66,400 in support, with last year’s total bringing in $13,770!
The Blue Star program is the brainchild of Pirate 4×4 founder, Lance Clifford, noted off-roader, racer, and access advocate. The program has generated tens of thousands of dollars over the years since its inception, and has played a key part in keeping BRC in the game and keeping public trails and riding areas open.
Pirate4x4.Com boasts a forum membership in excess of 250,000 subscribers. In that membership, a lot of folks and businesses participate in the Blue Star program started by Lance. For every subscription to the Blue Star Club, Pirate4x4 donates $10 to Sharetrails.Org/BRC to help keep trails open and off-road sports alive.
Del Albright, Sharetrails.Org/BRC Ambassador and Pirate4x4 subscriber since 2001 commented, “I have participated, believed in, and learned from internet forums like Pirate4x4.com for nearly 15 years, and this generous donation confirms how important online users can be to off-road organizations! [Sharetrails.Org/BRC] can’t do what it does for all trails and all sports without the support of great folks like the Blue Star Club of Pirate4x4.”
“Pirate 4×4 and their members have taken it upon themselves to ensure that [Sharetrails.Org/BRC] can continue our work to keep lands available for recreation,” said BRC President, Todd Ockert. “Their donation is a valued asset that we ensure is used responsibly every day in our work. Their dedication to [recreation access] is greatly appreciated.”
The Board and Staff of Sharetrails.Org/BRC would like to sincerely thank Pirate4x4.com and all its Blue Star supporters for their continued and generous support over the years.
