  • BI STATE GROUSE LAWSUIT – On December 18, 2018 we filed the long-awaited lawsuit in the U.S. District of Nevada, challenging the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest special recreation permit restrictions on OHV events.  For more information see the BRC news release HERE.
  • ELDORADO OSV OBJECTIONS – On December 17, 2018 we filed objections to the Draft Record of Decision for the Eldorado National Forest Over-Snow designation project.  For more information see the BRC news release HERE.
  • EASTERN US ACCESS – BRC Legal is involved in consultations with various enthusiasts and elected officials to explore strategies for creating/expanding OHV designations on state and federal lands.
  • WSA OBJECTIONS – BRC is an objector in the Bitterroot National Forest Travel Plan – Mountain Biking in WSAs project.  The Objection Review Officer has indicated that he is extending the time for objection review and intends to issue a final written decision by February 7, 2019.
  • BLUE MOUNTAINS/INYO FOREST PLANS – On November 30 Paul Turcke, lead counsel, attended and participated in objection resolution meetings in Baker City, Oregon, appearing before numerous Forest Service officials including the Objection Review team from the Washington Office and Pacific Northwest Regional Forester Glenn Casamassa.  BRC is also an objector to the Inyo (CA) Revised Forest Plan, with objection resolution meetings recently scheduled to occur on January 15-17, 2019.
