IDAHO – Salmon-Challis Forest Plan Revision Update, Public Workshops to Focus on Plan Development


Members of the public will have an opportunity to check in with the Salmon-Challis National Forest Plan Revision team at workshops starting November 1, 2018. The first phase of the 4-year plan revision process – assessment – was completed in July.

The three-hour workshops will engage participants in describing successful forest plan desires and outcomes, solicit information about wilderness values and management considerations, and update on the Wild and Scenic River eligibility process.

The public workshops will be held at the following locations:

Salmon – 4-7 p.m. November 1, 2018
Idaho Dept. of Fish & Game Salmon Region  99 Hwy. 93 N.

Challis – 9 a.m.-noon November 3, 2018
American Legion Hall  211 E. Main Avenue

Mackay – 9 a.m.-noon November 13, 2018
American Legion Hall  406 S. Main Street

Hailey – 4-7 p.m. November 14, 2018
Community Campus  1050 Fox Acres Road

A workshop in Arco and topical webinars are planned for after Thanksgiving.  As details of these events become available, they will be posted online at Workshop materials will be posted to the site the week before the event.
