Executive Director’s Update For March 23, 2020

For the last few weeks, we have been facing a new reality. For many of us the Covid-19 global pandemic has forced us to make serious changes in our daily lives. The pandemic is affecting all of us, our families, communities, businesses and, even our ability to recreate.

We are incredibly worried about you, especially about our older members. Please take care of yourselves- we will need you when times return to normal. And as much as we need you, your families need you even more.

We at the BlueRibbon Coalition are taking the advice given by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are hunkered down in our homes, but thanks to technology, we are still fully engaged and conducting the business of recreation advocacy.

We miss the daily interaction of being on the road and being with you at your events, meetings and even political engagements. That always gives us the energy and hope we need to keep fighting. We are actually working harder than ever to make sure there aren’t negative provisions against us in any emergency legislation out of the senate.

So, leave the heavy lifting to us and we will see you out on the trails soon!
God bless you and God bless America.

Spencer Gilbert
Executive Director
