Become a BlueRibbon Pledge Partner!

The BlueRibbon Pledge Partner program is a great alternative to the "lump sum" requests of normal fundraising. It allows you the flexibility to specify how and when you would prefer to donate. It's a great way for those who want to donate, but prefer to spread their donation throughout the year to better meet their budget, or for those who prefer to have us defer their donation to another time that's more convenient.

Depending on preference, you have several options to choose from:

1) You can specify that you would like to pledge a certain amount each month. You can even specify a pledge to be quarterly or semi-annually donated to the BlueRibbon Coalition. BRC members like this method because a smaller amount charged monthly or quarterly on their credit cards is often much easier to fit into their budget. At the same time, over the course of a year, those smaller monthly amounts add up to a generous annual donation. It is convenient, and saves time and money for members who wish to provide greater support, but who would prefer to provide that support on a budget rather than in a lump sum.

You can specify that you would like to donate, but would like to defer that donation to a more convenient time for you. Sometimes our fundraiser might not have come at the most opportune time. Members who would like to give, but would rather wait, can identify a pledge amount, as well as when and how they would like to pay that pledge. For example: if you would like to make a donation via your credit card, but would prefer to have us not charge the card until three months from now, just let us know when and how much, and we would be happy to delay that charge.

The Pledge Partner program is one of the best ways BRC members can help us budget and plan our access advocacy efforts. This is helpful to us and helps us be more effective. Traditional fundraising methods don't allow us to effectively predict the amount of available funds we will have in the future. By making a monthly pledge, or indicating their pledge to donate at a later time, our members help because we can predict what our funding level will be for at least a year in the future.
