Preserve and Promote Historic OHV Recreation at The Center for Biological Diversity and other anti-recreation groups are working overtime to kill family-oriented OHV recreation at Tolowa Dunes in The California OHV Division has been meeting with local recreationists and trail groups to discuss the preservation of historic OHV beach access near Anti-access groups have started a hate-mail campaign asking California State Parks to ignore the recent vote by the Del Norte County Board of Supervisors that supported multiple-use recreation, including OHV use, at this site. Continued efforts by access interests to provide for managed OHV recreation at Tolowa Dunes is in compliance with the California Public Resources Code Section 5090.02 (c) (1) Existing off-highway motor vehicle recreational areas, facilities, and opportunities be expanded& Managed OHV recreation use at Tolowa Dunes is an important and historic use.
